HEARTS DON'T BEND
Hearts Don't Bend is the first single from Aura's upcoming album and gives us a first glimpse of her new sound.
It's obvious that she has outgrown herself sonically. A mix between rock and country storytelling. She has remained more than true to her love for song lyrics and once again manages to make one's own experience universally understandable.
Your life is stable and suddenly someone appears on the scene who pulls the rug out from under you and forces you to suddenly question everything. In the chorus she sings "Albert's a liar because hearts they don't bend". A tribute to one of Aura's favorite authors Albert Camus. The lyrics were originally written as a poem. It developed into a song in a hotel room in the Caribbean and quickly found love in the studio in London, where the song and the whole album were eventually produced.
